Donkey Kicks are a great way to activate the glute maxi and extend the hip, as necessary for both speed running and running injury free.
The donkey kick set up also incorporated some upper body weight bearing, and thoracic extension, a lengthening of the upper spine to help with good running posture.
Take your time getting in and out of your donkey kick set up, enjoy moving through the ankles, stretching out your feet, calves and hamstrings before you float one leg away!
