Beyond the physical benefits, running enhances men Beyond the physical benefits, running enhances mental health, starts important conversations, and with @more_than_a_run it raises awareness and funds for mental health. We believe in the power of running as an agent for positive change. Best of all, you’re not only invited, but you’re an integral part of that positive change! As part of World Mental Health Day coach Scarlett lead the @lululemonausnz @more_than_a_run and coach Lee lead our usual Claremont Group for Intervals & mental health coffee. For me, running is absolutely the fire that’s ignited me from within when the world seemed dark, and if I could only attribute one thing that makes it possible for me to be my healthiest and happiest, it’s hands down community. On the 30th of Movember we come together for [mo]re than a run 10km, 30km or 60km. It’s such a vibe and Perth’s biggest get together of our brilliant city’s various run clubs. Not part of a run club? Show up, you’ll be embraced. I’m not merely an athlete or influencer projecting what works for me onto you, I’ve committed my career to all things running & it’s my full time jam! Being dedicated to elevate the running scene has allowed me to build on my BSc in Preventive Health Specialising in Exercise and Sport Science with movement qualifications in Strength & Conditioning and Pilates. I’m an Athletics Australia qualified coach, and I’m constantly learning from the worlds best, drawing on the latest sports science, applying it to the individual as appropriate, and of course, helping my athletes achieve things they never dreamed of! I love working with the novice and recreational athlete, and I’m also proud to have coached sub 3hr marathon runners, ultramarathon runners and the likes. I’m proud of my own running achievements, some of my highlights being including a 36.05 10km, and 100km trail in 10.41.47. It was so worth it!! 🍾 Huuuuge weekend for DOS It was so worth it!! 🍾 Huuuuge weekend for DOSE @rapidascent MRUM with runners in the 80km Solo, teams, the debut marathon (arguably the world’s hardest marathon course) & the kids run! If you’ve ever been tempted to sign up for an ultra, let Mark convince you… Massive congrats to Mark Powell who snuck in under 12hrs to grab a wine glass (although rumour has it he was drinking straight from the champagne bottle 😜) We have plenty of MRUM spam coming, including our other ultra solos Nick Lowe & @anna_swan 🌟 🌟 & lots of team action & marathon action - keep an eye on stories!
